About
I am a travel photographer with a focus on African wildlife and landscape photography.
I discovered this beautiful hobby only in 2012. Before I would borrow my parent’s DSLR cameras. But I had no idea so I would shoot everything on ‘auto mode’ and my pictures were more for my memory and a hard disk eater.
After my graduation I bought my Olympus OMD EM-1 and planned a six month trip to Southern Africa where I truly fell in love with African wildlife and taking pictures.
Ever since I have been going back to the African continent to see more and more. There is something about safari that is indescribable. Call it the travel bug, hunting instinct, African feever… I caught it or it caught me.
Being based in Basel, Switzerland I can bring Africa a bit closer to home with my pictures. Taking pictures of the African wildlife or landscapes forces me to go outside which is something I always enjoyed since I was a kid.
At the same time I was engaged in many conversations with different kind of people about the future of wildlife conservation and its coexistence with tourism why I partnered with globalconservationcorps.org.
